Don’t view a person by their image

Finally I have managed to get a different perspective from the other side of this message. I normally feel like have been stereotyped but once you realised you do it yourself and that you are completely wrong for judging people you notice that you need to make a change. Many people like to categorise people into different stereotypes usually just by appearance and the surroundings not even getting to know the person.
Unfortunately everyone I know does this including me. It just seems to be a part of us growing up and experiences we have seen or heard of that create particular idealistic groups that our views tend to determine where people may go.  I do admit that I have stereotyped and it is a habit I need to break. Until I few days ago I spoke to someone I have never really spoken to but just seen around and my mind was set that I knew what she was like already. Although the thing was once we got talking I was so surprised as my opinion changed completely and just go to show that an image of a person does not make a personality.
Of course it is easier said than done not to stereotype as people do it daily for example they may call people chavs, goths, emos, plastics, nerds and so on having their own understanding of the distinctive traits these groups of people may have but it is better getting to know the person first and pay more attention to their actions other than their image following the message innocent until proven guilty.
